Upper Las Virgenes Cyn Open Space Preserve LV Trailhead at Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas, California.

Fantastic park space that ties into Cheeseboro on the west and Victory Trail-head on the east. Mostly fire roads with some single track that if you are paying attention you'll find. Gets really hot so bring water and a hat because there is no shade. Avoid after a rain as the trails turn into giant mud pits.

Great place for hikes! Not too challenging, dog friendly, and absolutely beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed hiking the upper Las Virgines canyon preserve. We started from the gate at the end of Las Virgines road (near Malibu Canyon Apartments). Take a right once you enter , keep going and take the left after crossing the fenced dish tower. We took the next left for canyon view. Which was amazing. Little steep towards the end but should be fine for a person with average fitness. Please don't get deterred by the dog poop every where on the trail, hope some one take action on that though. Irresponsible dog owners should not be allowed in the trail.
